The overall furniture is excellent, but the waiting time for a waiter/waitress is too long to sustain.

Fun and kitsch gallery room and the staff have cute outfits to suit. Service was ok, Mathilde was super but we experienced an issue in the beginning as they couldn’t figure out how to accommodate a small pushchair with sleeping baby near our table (resolved when we suggested removing a chair and replacing with the buggy). Food was nice but we weren’t particularly wowed by anything. It seems to be a lot of fanfare for average delivery. A nice afternoon tea. Very expensive for what you get. I expect more than nice for £80/ head. We were offered seconds of sandwiches and asked where ch one we would like another of. Certainly they aren’t keen to just bring another plateful like other establishments. Small champagne servings (£14/glass) Live music was excellent, loos full of instagrammers, no baby change but plenty of clean floor space in the loos.

The staff as lovely and the quirkiness of the experience made up for it. The selection and quality of teas were delightful. However, I would expect the quality of the cakes and sandwiches to be much higher.

My girlfriend wanted to visit here as she said it was the place to be. availability was scarce which validated the theory. however we booked afternoon tea about three weeks in advance. I have had afternoon tea in many of the top restaurants, and whilst the surroundings and the ambience was pleasant, it was not what i would call a top place to be. Upon arrival the door host, whilst a pleasant man, was a little too forward with my girlfriend, which she found uncomfortable. So immediately had to try and smooth it over, The same on the way out. The service was slow, and not very forthcoming, i would expect that for the cost, i would not need to ask for a refill of tea, i would also expect the sandwiches to be replenished, or at least asked. some of which were dry bread. On the good side, a classical trio were playing in the background which was very nice, the decor was good, toilets were a unique main feature, and the location is in a great place, being a short walk from Oxford Circus station.
