Fun and kitsch gallery room and the staff have cute outfits to suit. Service was ok, Mathilde was super but we experienced an issue in the beginning as they couldn’t figure out how to accommodate a small pushchair with sleeping baby near our table (resolved when we suggested removing a chair and replacing with the buggy).
Food was nice but we weren’t particularly wowed by anything. It seems to be a lot of fanfare for average delivery. A nice afternoon tea. Very expensive for what you get. I expect more than nice for £80/ head. We were offered seconds of sandwiches and asked where ch one we would like another of. Certainly they aren’t keen to just bring another plateful like other establishments. Small champagne servings (£14/glass)
Live music was excellent, loos full of instagrammers, no baby change but plenty of clean floor space in the loos.

Divine girly experience. Loved the food and the presentation and the room was simply gorgeous.

The staff as lovely and the quirkiness of the experience made up for it. The selection and quality of teas were delightful. However, I would expect the quality of the cakes and sandwiches to be much higher.

My girlfriend wanted to visit here as she said it was the place to be. availability was scarce which validated the theory. however we booked afternoon tea about three weeks in advance. I have had afternoon tea in many of the top restaurants, and whilst the surroundings and the ambience was pleasant, it was not what i would call a top place to be.
Upon arrival the door host, whilst a pleasant man, was a little too forward with my girlfriend, which she found uncomfortable. So immediately had to try and smooth it over, The same on the way out.
The service was slow, and not very forthcoming, i would expect that for the cost, i would not need to ask for a refill of tea, i would also expect the sandwiches to be replenished, or at least asked. some of which were dry bread.
On the good side, a classical trio were playing in the background which was very nice, the decor was good, toilets were a unique main feature, and the location is in a great place, being a short walk from Oxford Circus station.

Very nice restaurant, very good tea, restroom is hilarious, but it is the reason we will not come back ...

Dining experience was very good, the toilets were very unique. Favourite dishes the sandwiches except the salmon and the scones were top notch! The cakes were also good as not to sweet . They surprised us with a cake saying happy anniversary even though I booked it myself but I forgot I told them when booking lol

The whole experience, from the greeting at the entrance, the cloakroom, the welcome in the lobby by the pink piano, the introduction of the whole experience by the Champagne Artiste and the grand and exuberant pouring, the introduction by the Tea Master of the White Peony Tea, the introduction by the Cavia Man wearing his pink suit and straw boater, the delivery and exquisite presentation, the freshness of each individual morsel of edible exquisiteness, the quality and quirky ness of the cutlery and crockery, the attentiveness at every level, the unhurried tempo, the definition of the ambient music equally distributed throughout the Gallery through an array of speakers which would put some of the Worlds best Concert Halls to shame, providing crystal clear audible perfection of a carefully selected play list. Sorry I must finish here as I have to hurriedly return for some Déjà vu.

Sketch is definitely very well rated and sometimes hard to get a place there because of a huge popularity and demand. The atmosphere is very lovely, the interior, graphic images and especially live music. Great selection of tea. Sandwiches were good, but not remarkable. Pastry looks very pretty. Scones were amazing, freshly baked, still warm and soft when arrived to the table. Victoria sponge cake was delicious, light and pretty to look at. Magda was looking after us, amazing service! Overall, I would suggest going to Sketch, because it’s definitely a nice experience and let’s not forget the famous egg toilets.
