It was a shame that our food arrived before our cocktails. Other than that everything was fine

Wayyyy too expensive £16 for a double gin is an absolute rip off.

We had an enjoyable evening with friends. The food was fine and the ambience was good. I think it’s a shame that there are no specials on the menu. I also think the menu looks a bit tired and naff and feel it could do with an update. As I’ve said the food was perfectly fine but given the price (most main courses were around £15- £20) I think it could have been better. The hollandaise served with broccoli wasn’t, I don’t believe, a fresh sauce. It tasted like a powdered version- the kitchen weren’t able to tell my friend who is a coeliac whether it contained gluten (odd given a fresh hollondaise certainly should not). I think that at the price charged, the papaya should be made on site, fresh ingredients used and prepared at the time. If this is happening it wasn’t especially apparent. Again, the kitchen weren’t able to identify which macaroon was which. We ordered coconut and got banana (twice!) Either need to up their game or drop their prices- I think £12 would have been a realistic price point. A nice view is making this place rest on its laurels.

What an amazing venue - fabulous location, food, service, cocktails and staff. Can't wait to go again. Lovely atmosphere.

Went for afternoon tea, setting was lovely and the views were great. Unfortunately some of the windows did not have blinds on and my husband had the sun in his eyes for most of the time.

The service was good when the servers were around. It was quite hard to get their attention. Once we did get their attention and requested more hot water & cream, they were quick and attentive, very pleasant and friendly.

The afternoon tea was nice, however I found the bread on the sandwiches slightly dry round the edges. Not as soft as I would have liked. The scones were adverage not enough fruit in the fruit scones. In my opinion there wasn't quite enough clotted cream and jam (I had to ask for some more). The mini deserts were tasty. There was a good selection of teas.

I think the price was quite high for the afternoon tea for the quality and have had the same quality afternoon tea for £10 cheaper. Perhaps there is a premium for the location.

The whole experience was adverage, the food was nice but I was not 'wowed' by it.

In my booking I confirmed that it was our daughter's 18th birthday, but nobody mentioned this. No special effort or attention or recognition was given to this. In fact the service was slow and we felt a bit neglected.
