Had starter and main ... no room for pudding ... both courses were amazingly presented and tasted as good as they looked.

Unique dining experience in old railway carriages. The menu choice was wide to cover all tastes and there were different offers on through the week. I had pork in an ouzo and wine sauce with seasonal veg which was lovely. My friend enjoyed the pork & chicken kebab with chips and tzatziki . We ended with coffees watching the sunset and a number of trains on the east coast main line zooming past

Everything about my visit was fine, as far as the meal was concerned. My only grumble is that when I booked on line, and was asked for my requirements, the answer I gave was completely ignored. I asked for a quiet table in a private position, but was plonked right next to another couple, when the rest of the carriage was free. Somebody had NOT BOTHERED to look at my booking. Disappointing!

Amazing service and food. Went for husbands birthday. Loved the Stifado. Very generous portions! Dining in an old railway carriage was a nice touch. Will be back

Still good ambience, but we're not sure that the food was as good as last time (a couple of years ago). It seems silly that you can't buy a half of Guinness.

Had the mezzo platter and it was absolutely yummy & great value. Fantastic friendly service and just WOW to the location and to be sitting in an old railway carriage. Thank you x

Very welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Nice ambience on a cold winter night.

As we walked through the door, we felt the warmth of an open fire in the bar area. We were welcomed with a broad smile from the barman enquiring if we had pre-booked a table. After ordering drinks and sitting beside the fire, we were given the menus to mull over before being directed to our table. The old railway carriage had been decorated for the Xmas festivities and enhanced the ambience of the restaurant. Each of the waiters were dressed familiar to rail employees of past. The menu fulfilled the roll of a Mediterranean theme. My partner had the chicken kebab, and I had the Kleftico. The chicken from the grill was succulent, my lamb just fell to bits. Both meals were devoured with gusto. Our pudding, we both went for the chocolate fudge pud. That didn’t take long to devour. We loved the atmosphere, even the passing trains added to the night. If we lived in around York, I could see us visiting this restaurant most weeks.
