Lovely noodles, speedy service of food. I was waiting for my friend to arrive - it would have been nice to order a drink in that time. Good value, nice atmosphere. I would visit again!

Recommended in the Michelin Guide, Shoryu Shoreditch is widely celebrated for its authentic ramen delicacies, featuring expertly prepared broths with exotic additions. The chic, minimalist interior with classic Japanese styling makes this a relaxing, intimate spot, while the restaurant's placement on the bustling Great Eastern Street puts it moments from all the cultural attractions of Shoreditch.

The Shoryu menu is fronted by acclaimed tonkotsu ramen, featuring 12-hour pork broth, char siu barbecue pork belly, nitamago egg, ginger, and nori seaweed. A great selection of variations of the dish are served, adding in treats including black garlic, kikurage mushroom, and fiery chillies. There are also vegan broths available, made with tonyu soy milk and shiitake, and curry ramen featuring naruto fish cake.

Tuck into mouthwatering sides at Shoryu in Shoreditch, including steamed Wagyu buns, soft shell crab tempura, and classic edamame. Imported shochu, plum wines and Japanese whiskies are also served, along with fruity cocktails and Japanese beers too.

Serving up authentic Japanese ramen, Shoryu Shoreditch is a hugely popular restaurant in London, and sits just a 7-minute walk from Old Street Tube Station.

Poorly run place and bad at service. Ordered kimchi ramen, they brought out something else and it took a lot of talking to with a feisty manager who had to look st the security camera to see if her chef served the right food!

I particularly like all the buns you do - the fillings are gorgeous. The octopus balls are also very tasty however my only issue was that the octopus in the middle was overcooked and actually I couldn't swallow it because it was too chewy.

Lovely spicy vegetarian ramen. Huge portion. Friendly staff and great pudding.

Much better veggie ramen than Tonkotsu. Unfortunately, they didn't have 2 of the 5 items on their summer menu which was very disappointing but the food we did order was really enjoyable.

My boyfriend and I really liked the dinner experience at Shoryu. We love the buns but the ramen was excellent as well. Beautiful evening

The restaurant itself is in a small location in Shoreditch. The staff are mostly friendly, there was one chap that let them down a bit by being surly/distant (we were unable to get his attention without a vast amount of effort). The miso soup, which, from what I can gather, they pride themselves on, is nice. There was a good amount of meat and veg in it. We also had a sharing platter which contained four small pieces of crispy chicken, four tempura prawns and the tiniest piece of broccoli I have ever been served. In all the whole thing is overpriced and tries too hard. Save some pounds and go to Itsu next door who also do a good miso noodle soup...
