My friend and I so enjoyed our meal Saturday 25 August that we went again Saturday 2nd September. Disappointing this time! We both had HuntersChicken and it was very dry and a bit tough to chew. Shame because we won't be rushing back for a while. ??

Very friendly service. There were 6 of us plus a young grandson and we were conveniently seated in a private alcove. Everyone was happy with the main courses. The steaks were very good as well as the sea bass and hunters chicken.

I booked online for lunch on Easter Monday as we had eaten there before for my birthday. The food, the service and the friendliness of the staff make the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable for whatever the occasion is.

Had a lovely experience, met by restaurant manager who was warm and friendly. Waitress was very quick and polite, we all had a different meal and we all enjoyed. Very well presented and our puddings were exceptional. Definitely will plan another visit.

A great place, good relaxed atmosphere and superb roast dinner!
The only criticism would be a annoying squeaking door from the kitchens which opened and closed every 10 seconds naturally, very annoying if you were sitting close by as we were, a really ear piercing squeal??, please oil it or I may bring my own next time!
Other than that faultless!!

There was no carvery which is why we booked (it was amazing last time) we choose two roast dinners and a hunters chicken. (We were dinning at shaw farm to cheer ourselves up due to loosing my dad very suddenly two days earlier) the food was warm, roast potatoes over cooked, meat tasteless, cauliflower cheese was cauliflower with a spoonful of sauce on the top. We spoke to the manager who listened to our complaints, agreed with them and very kindly wrote our bill off. We will go back as we hope this was a one off - bring back the carvery.
