Housed within the stylish and sophisticated Doubletree by Hilton Dartford Bridge Hotel, QE2 Restaurant presents sumptuous international cuisine with much flair. The distinctive red interior with minimalist furnishings evokes a fashionable vibe, while large windows offer scenic views over Dartford Bridge.

Traditional grill dishes like the 8oz rib eye steak and fillet of seabass are highlights on the QE2 menu. Dishes also include smoked trout, king prawn with horseradish cream and lime vinaigrette, and Serrano ham with celeriac remoulade.

A tempting dessert selection at QE2 Restaurant features a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and mixed seasonal berry Eton mess.

    Unfortunately the Afternoon Tea was not as advertised. It was in the QE2 Bar and not the QE2 Restaurant and the sample menu is totally different from the food received. Very disappointing!

    We have stayed at the Hilton Hotel Dartford a few times and I must say this was the worst it has ever been for a 4 star hotel. We booked the three course menu the restaurant was busy and the first thing the staff said to us is that there would be quite a delay in food orders so we ordered drinks from the lady who showed us to the table they didn't arrive so we ordered again of a different waitress 10 mins later she came back and said that they had ran out of Stella Artois and also Budweiser so we reordered and asked for a bottle of processco that came but was not chilled but they did provide an ice bucket and it was also Cava so we thought just leave it as it was too much hassle to change. When we received the bill the Cava was £39 which really should have been flagged to us as procescco is normally approx. £25 per bottle - £39 for Cava is extremely expensive even for an hotel. Re the food was very after starter ok, main ok but the mash potatoes were processed and not fresh mash potatoes, roasted vegetables also didn't look fresh, dessert was ok but again they had ran out of our first choice. Also all plates that the food was served on were dirty. We will not be returning to this restaurant or hotel in the future.

    We arrived at the hotel and were told to go to the bar where they would help us. At the bar the staff acknowledged my booking and we were shown to a table . The waitress then told us we could have as much tea and coffee as we wanted but if we wanted anything else to drink we would have to pay extra - the same if we wanted more sandwiches or cakes! It would have been nice to ge welcomed to the hotel and our tea and perhaps being asked if it was a special occasion. I had ordered champagne to accompany the tea but there was no acknowledgement of this. She then asked for confirmation of my booking which should have been taken before we were shown to our table.
    We were offered tea or coffee and my coffee arrived in a mug which is not suitable fir a cream tea. I asked for the mug to be changed to a cup and saucer and had to ask for teaspoons to stir the milk in - these should have been with the cup and saucer. Still no champagne offered.
    The tea arrived - 8 finger sandwiches with fillings of ham, cream cheese and tuna - hardly special fillings . There was a lack of savoury options.
    The scones had been warmed in a microwave which dried them out once they had cooled- plenty of clotted cream though.
    After we had eaten the scones our plates were very messy and I had to ask for clean plates on which to eat the cakes. This should have been automatically changed.
    There was a lack of staff looking after the customers, no tablecloths on the tables and a lack of atmosphere with large screen TVs playing on all the walls - it would have been nicer to be in the main restaurant ( which was empty) rather than in a walk through eateries with many business people holding meetings. Not the environment for cream tea .
    I had to ask twice for the champagne to be bought to the table which was embarrassing.
    When we had had sufficient, no staff were around to thank us fir coming to the hotel or to check if we had had a nice time.

    The afternoon tea was fine. Don't really like the fact that it is not served in a more private setting as it seems to be where work people are having meetings etc.

    The service was quite poor and we had to get up and ask the waiting staff for fresh tea or anything else that we wanted.
