We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant as soon as we entered. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The choice of wine included in the offer we booked was excellent. My favourite part of the meal was my starter, a cheese soufflé with a tasty chicory salad.

I have visited this restaurant, and also the Champagne Bar, many times before, to enjoy a delicious lunch with friends. I have never been disappointed. Attentive service. Well prepared and presented food. This time I very much enjoyed the cheese soufflé starter. We chose the 3 course lunch deal with a glass of bubbles. Portions are on the small side. More vegetables coming as part of the meal, rather than as separate side orders, would be better.

Booked here to meet with friends as location suited. Lovely art deco feel to the restaurant but lacked a bit of atmosphere as was very quite (although it was a Wednesday night). Air conditioning was a life saver in the mad summer heat. We opted for the a la carte menu rather than the deal and the food was excellent and not too expensive. Chicken pie was amazing flavour although I would have expected a potato or vegetable dish with it for the price. That said, I will definitely be back as the food was excellent and it has the added advantage of a great champagne bar outside :-)

Five friends met for lunch on Wednesday. Generally we had a good experience but one of the ladies was disappointed with her meal as it was too salty! This was a Cesar Salad. We mentioned this to the waiter who said he would report it to the chef! In addition, potatoes we ordered arrived as we were finishing our meal. The other four ladies enjoyed their lunch and loved the decor and ambiance of the Brassiere! Dispite the hiccups we will certainly be dining there again! Well four of us anyway!

Quirky venue. Food presented well & flavoursome. Double Baked Cheese Souffle was an excellent starter. Overall the portion size, we both would describe as small

Nearly empty at lunch-time on Saturday! Warm welcome from attentive staff. But not over-attentive. Had the Market menu, which was great value, excellently presented. The Roquefort souffle was outstanding - crsip on the outside and melting in the middle. The Provencal vegetables, spiced lamb and coriander looked like a deconstructed stuffed pepper, but was well balanced.

It was really fabulous. We had a 3 course deal including a glass of wine. Each course was simply delicious.
    I will be back!

Enjoyed meal, staff very attentive and helpful. Tried to overcharge us though at the end of meal even though we had booked packaged meal with glass of sparkling wine. Had to send the bill back twice to get rectified.

This is the 4th time we had eaten at Searcys. We chose the set menu but were somewhat disappointed with the main course. In addition, when we left the restaurants we found that we had been overcharged by at least £9. 3 of our party of 4 had three courses, but were charged the 2-course deal plus the desert course of £7. This oversight is unacceptable and should not require the customer to carefully interrogate the bill.

3 of us went to dine using the special set menu offer. The starter souffle was very nice with a contrasting crunchy endive salad and dressing. The fried sardines were bland and in need of something more spicy than the cucumber salad they came with. The main course of what turned out to be overspiced minced lamb stuffing for spring vegetables was too overpowering. We were served a dish of potatoes each as a side dish (neither ordered nor paid for) without which the lamb would have been inedible, The pavlova desert and ice cream were excellent, but the lemon curd pie very ordinary.
