My wife and I booked for high tea we were met on arrival by a waiter who took us to our table that was clean and tidy, the order was taken within 4 minutes and arrived quickly, the food was well presented and very good quality. The staff were friendly and well presented. Would recommend :)

The food was lovely, and all the staff were friendly. Fabulous view of the Castle.

Restaurant very bare given COVID-19 restrictions which is obviously unavoidable. Afternoon tea a bit uninspired with cheese/ tomato and ham sandwiches. Similar with cakes, and cream for scones had gone sour! I mentioned this to waitress who seemed disinterested. Slightly disappointed with overall experience.

I love the restaurant service (very pleasant, unpretentious ) and decor. I have been coming here for over 30 years. Thank you

The menu provided on the night was shorter than the menu we had seen on the website. The salmon dish chosen had too many very small prawns and was rather overwhelmed by the potatoes. On the menu it was stated that the olives starter also had jalapeños yet none were on the plate. The refurbishment is good to see but the meal was disappointing in comparison to meals taken there before. We were glad we had to leave early when a very large group of school children entered the restaurant which changed the ambiance to that of a food court with all the noise.

Very disappointing. Lots of empty tables only 3 full tables the whole time we ate More staff than diners on a Saturday night ! No atmosphere, food average at best and overpriced. I ordered chocolate pudding for desert and they had sold out??! Will not be returning will not be recommending
Afternoon tea – £15 per person
