Very disappointing! Portion sizes were minuscule and food was Luke warm. We ordered side orders and then decided to order extra side orders. The service was so poor that the extra side orders were delivered to the table at the same time as desert. The food was overpriced. Won’t return I’m afraid.

Staff did not do anything wrong but could have done more to make experience better. Felt the menu was a little uninspiring and when we were told that one of our starter choices was unavailable as there were not enough mushrooms for mushrooms on toast and it would mean the chef would have to make more, I was quite surprised, what are chefs for? Out of a choice of two bottled beers one was unavailable! Wine was very pricey at £28 for cheapest bottle and £10 for cheapest glass. When I ordered wine as main was served it did not come until I was almost finished and on verge of cancelling it. At over £100 for two people we felt it was overpriced for what was on offer and basically eating in the hotel restaurant with guests.

Food was very good. I had Plaice and it was cooked to perfection. Wife had Sirlion Steak. Most enjoyable. Staff were very attentive but not overpowering. A very pleasant dining experience.
