    Nice restaurant in a lovely old hotel. Very quiet but to be expected of a weekend. service and food both very good. Slight error with the bill where we weren't given the discount for the Bookatable deal but this was quickly rectified. Will return.

    Restaurant was very quiet, but as to be expected for a hotel restaurant on a weekend and we enjoyed the peaceful setting as we could enjoy a conversation without having to shout as in some restaurants! Lovely airy room with large, high windows giving a light, airy feel. Service was impeccable and the food was of good quality, a bargain for the price paid. Our first visit here but will definitely not be our last.

    The staff were very attentive and took great care of us. The food was absolutly beautiful. The Every course was a dream, apart from the desert. We chose the chocolate sharing desert with fondant and brownie. The fondant was over cooked and was a cake instead. My wife does not like chocolate cake as she finds it very dry so she could not eat hers, so she just had the fruit which she really enjoyed. . We will happily be returning at some stage as the whole experience was very pleasant.

    Our table was booked for 8.30 we ordered a soup starter which took an hour to arrive as the waitress suddenly realised we hadn't got it and started to apologize . We had both ordered a medium steak, mine was cooked perfectly my husbands was rare in the middle. We were also not given any steak knives. We both ordered a brownie and ice cream desert, the waitress came back and said they only had one brownie desert left so I told my husband to have it. When the waitress came back she said they had found another one. The brownie was cold and the ice cream was melting even though it was a very cold evening. While we were waiting for our main to come a waiter brought over a portion of chips which he left on our table while he went to find out which table they were for, then came back and took them to the other table, not good practice.
