We ate here a few years back and it was great. On this occasion staff were good and reacted well to our problems. We had a main course and a sweet. It took 45 minutes to deliver our main course. I told one of the waiters after 35 minutes who went to find out what the problem was. His reason wasn’t very helpful but he obviously was repeating what he was told. He gave me a large glass of Merlot as a ‘sorry’. My wife was drinking water so she didn’t get anything. My steak was barely warm and my wife’s cheese soufflé was like dry sawdust. They didn’t charge us for my wife’s main course and they offered another main instead, but because of the time it took for the first one we declined. We were going to eat there on the next evening but decided not to. McDonalds Hotels were always well known for their food but I think we’ll think twice next time we choose a Hotel in the UK.

The service was really slow, despite the fact that the restaurant was only around a third full. Prices were high for quite average meals

Really poor experience. The service was very slow and inexperienced. It took ages to get through dinner Ordered the lamb and it was not edible—sent it back—and cancelled the order when the waiter tried to convince me cooking lamb well done was recommended. One saving grace was the scallop starter....fresh, balanced flavors, and delicious
