Restaurant description
Built on the site of an ancient manor house, The Scarbrough Hotel is an historic British pub. With a packed menu of British recipes alongside a great ale selection, the dark wood interior and comfy seating make it an ideal watering hole to relax in.
Since Nicholson’s pubs were first established in 1873, these traditional British inns have become synonymous with warm hospitality, hearty pub food and a speciality range of ales. As well as always featuring British pub classics like beer-battered fish & chips and gammon & eggs, the Scarbrough Hotel menu is complemented by a rotating selection of pie, sausage & chop and fish specials for each season.
The Scarbrough Hotel bar is always stocked with exquisite gins, warming whiskies and fine wines to pair with favourite meals, and there’s always a superb range of seasonal and regional real ales on offer. A constant at the bar is the St Austell-brewed Nicholson’s Pale Ale, made with Cornish Maris Otter malts, and a hand-picked blend of English hops.
The Scarbrough Hotel is just 2 minutes' walk from Leeds Rail Station.

I went last week for the first time, with four other retired work colleagues for lunch. We ate well for under £10 each and were delighted to discover that this included a free pint of Nicholson's excellent Pale Ale! I am sure we will return.
