Superb. Finest meal I've had in 85 years of searching ( apart from my wife 's excellent dinners of course . Had to put that in. ) interesting menu ( who would have thought chicken would go so well with rhubarb ) good food cooked to perfection and beautifully presented

Have been here before and always had a good experience. Evening started off OK. Drinks and starters came promptly. The soufflé with French onion soup was great as ever. We then seem to be forgotten. Despite me trying to catch the attention of any of the staff, we were studiously ignored. I then caught the attention of the owner or manager who happened to come into the restaurant. I explained our predicament and he went to the kitchen and said he would also check the timing of the order. He came back and said it was being plated up. This clearly wasn't true as we had another wait before it was delivered pipping hot (so hadn't been sitting around). By the time we finished our main courses we had been there 2 1/4 hours. After the plates were cleared, there seemed a reluctance for anyone to come to our table so we decided to skip dessert and coffee and left. An apology and admission that the order had gone astray would have rectified the situation, but sadly, this was not forthcoming. This is a shame as I have recommended this restaurant to several people in the past but won't be able to again.

5 of us visited Savoro for a late lunch. We were impressed by the choices on the fixed price menu. Food was freshly prepared, portions a good size and quality. Service was polite and efficient. The wine list has a good choice of well priced wines. All in all we felt we had an excellent value for money lunch and would return if in the area

An excellent meal with first rate service -- as always. A la carte menu offers wide selection of starters and mains at reasonable prices (£30-ish plus wine).
