A chic pop-up dining hotspot in London, Sanderson showcases eclectic international indulgences in a year-round summery setting. The Mad Hatter's Tea Party at Sanderson offers a unique twist on the classic afternoon tea.
Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland, menus are hidden inside vintage books, kings and queens adorn teapots and sandwich plates decorated with zebras, birdcages and ticking clocks.
The Mad Hatters afternoon tea menu features delectable savoury bites, including smoked salmon quails egg with caviar and cream cheese, and melt-in-your-mouth King of Hearts ham and parmesan croque-monsieur stack.
Completing the experience, come face to face with Tweedle Dee’s lemon and curd financier before enjoying the mocha chessboard gateau and with the Mad March Hare vanilla pocket watch macaroon, there’s no excuse to be late for this important date! Wash everything down with Alice-themed cocktails and for the afternoon tea traditionalists, finish up with warm scones clotted cream and fruit preserves.
Diverse flavours and eclectic recipes make Sanderson in Fitzrovia a favourite in London’s fashionable West End. Goodge Street Tube Station is a 6-minute walk away.

It was enjoyable. Great photos. Couple of the dessert items were just meh. But not paying for the food I suppose. Good service.

This madhatters afternoon tea was value for money and as we booked early we received a free cocktail which was a nice touch as to add it on would have been an additional cost. It was disappointing to be outside in the courtyard, however they provided cosy blankets for our legs and it was covered above us. Unfortunately the hot teai is got cold very quickly! But the food was served quick, very tasty and helpful staff. We had as much tea as we wanted and the quirky idea was quaint but the atmosphere let it down as it wasn’t a pleasant indoor temperature.

Excellent service with a lovely selection of tea, cakes and sandwiches. Its reputation as a first class hotel is well deserved.

The tea was excellent. Staff very polite and professional. Did not know there would be a 15% service charge on the bill £12 is a bit much. Would like to have been told when booking.
