Great place - lovely food @ wine served up by Spanish staff, so hopefully fairly genuine. Nice feel about the place.

Our second visit and just as good as the first. We loved all the food and drink we had and service was great too - knowledgeable and helpful staff. Restaurant has a really nice atmosphere.

My family is Spanish, and I was delighted to learn that there would finally be a Spanish tapas restaurant opening in Cambridge, so I was really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, this one does not compare to the amazing Spanish food I have had in London (let alone Spain). We tried the octopus, the pork cheeks, the tortilla, and the broccoli, and all were fine, but not excellent. The service was also a bit problematic - they forgot our order for chocolate con churros, and we had to rush to our theatre seats before that could be rectified.

The ambience of Tabanco is lively and wonderful. I really enjoyed all the tapas, they were all of the highest quality and all slightly different than the normal run of the mill tapas you usually find in tapas bars in this country. My favourite being the 'Pulpo rebozado' a dish of fried octopus leg on a bed of caper mash. For me, one of the high point was the excellent quality of the sherry, all from the bodegas of Rey Fernando de Castilla. Their 'fino en rama' was one of the best I have tasted outside of Jerez. Although not a cheap restaurant we shall definitely go back and sooner rather than later.

Good location in the middle of Cambridge.
Food, drink and service were all excellent. Our waiter was welcoming efficient and helpful with good advice on the number of dishes to order and excellent wine recommendations.

I've been twice before and both times were very good, but was disappointed on this occasion. Grilled octopus was overcooked and tough and mash was lumpy.

Good all round. Pleasant staff. Good wine selection. A good variety of dishes, well prepared and displayed.

My friends and I loved the tapas and oh the choices! It was hard to pick, and even though we shared about 10 of them, there's still a few we'd like to try so we'd be coming back! The service was excellent - helpful and attentive without being overly so.
