Looking out over the world’s oldest golf course, as well as the famous Musselburgh Racecourse, Saison has a real air of history about it. Its picturesque backdrop makes for an ideal setting for its selection of gourmet delicacies.

With traditional British recipes sitting alongside flavours from the continent, the Saison menu offers a versatile and enticing selection. The celebrated seafood of the Scottish coast is used in a range of pasta dishes, including linguine with prawns, clams, mussels and calamari, with a delectable fish soup with white wine, pesto and fennel also available.

Vegetarian specialities at Saison Musselburgh use premium ingredients, including porcini mushroom and truffle oil, and a more traditional Scottish dish range is also served, such as lamb shank with grilled tomato and creamy mash. An extensive wine list has been crafted at Saison Musselburgh, and includes bottles from across the continent.

    First time at this restaurant. Good welcome, excellent food, [...] Interesting views of racecourse. Would be fun to visit when racing was on!

    Food good, service good, price excellent. Will definitely go again.

    Evening. The food is a bit short on quantity and I have tasted far superior fillet steak. The prawn cocktail had extremely hard avocado,no tap water was on offer, no bread,++++. Will not go again.
