Restaurant description
Meaning ‘flavour’ in Spanish, Sabor is a Michelin-starred restaurant in Mayfair. Taking you on a journey through the regions of Spain, Sabor in London was founded by Nieves Barragan and José Etura, who hail from London’s wildly popular Barrafina restaurants.
Sabor in Mayfair offers 3 distinct areas within its walls; The Counter and bar on the ground floor, open to walk-ins only, and El Asador on the first floor. At The Counter, enjoy a changing daily menu of fresh fish and regional dishes from across Spain. El Asador offers dishes cooked in a traditional wood fired oven, or ‘asador’. Dishes include tapas, such as Galician tortilla and crisp pig’s ears, while sharing mains include the outstanding suckling pig and Iberian lamb ribs.
Enjoy a Spanish tipple in the bar, with choices such as sherry, gin, wine and beer. London’s Sabor restaurant has an authentic décor with exposed brick, colourful tiles and comfy stools.
You will find Sabor Mayfair only a 6-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station, and only around the corner from the well-known shopping area of Carnaby Street.

This is quite casual style eating. Shared high tables. Small space. Open kitchen bar. Slate boards with specials written on... it is a busy lively service at lunch time. We went for my birthday, on valentines day, which was super busy. The last lunch sitting is 2pm and the next sitting is 5.30.... so one of our party of 3 was running late. Restaurant were good about not being too pushy about the time. We ordered prawn croquetas....hot, potatoey and prawn deliciousness and pigs ears with aioli. I really liked the crispy bits of the ears. Amazing how there are fatty bits on an ear!!! We ate it all. The pulpo was soft but I personally thought a little overwhelmed by the smoked paprika topping. We had lovely garlicky lambs ribs... potatas bravas...and beetroot salad with goats cheese....every morsel went. The best was yet to come... goats cheese ice cream in liquorice sauce, pineapple sorbet with chilli and doughnuts and chocolate. We tried the orange cocktails with rosemary and gin...nice aperitif. I would order the suckling pig next time... I will be back. Thank you.

The tortilla is one of the best I've ever eaten. It was so good we had a second. Prawn croquettes were like being at the seaside, the flavour was so intense. The goat's cheese ice cream was first and I'll definitely order it again.
