A luxurious 19th-century manor house hotel, Rowhill Grange near Dartford hosts the sophisticated RG’s Restaurant, winner of 2 AA Rosettes. The more informal Elements Bar & Lounge serves brasserie-style cuisine, while both offer al fresco dining on the garden terrace, also ideal for traditional afternoon tea.
The RG’s Restaurant menu embraces seasonal flavours, with venison loin with pumpkin puree, red cabbage and chocolate, and wild turbot with crab and broad bean risotto amongst its mains. The RG’s grill sizzles with prime sirloin, organic chicken and salmon served with hollandaise.
Big club sandwiches and flavourful salads are trademarks of the Elements menu, along with classic pastas and chunky cod and chips. RG’s is an inviting setting for a fulsome Sunday lunch, where decadent starters and puddings join traditional roasts, or equally tempting fish and vegetarian dishes.
Served in the restaurants or one of the relaxing Rowhill Grange lounges, afternoon tea can be accompanied by strawberries and champagne, with freshly baked cakes straight from the Rowhill Grange pastry chefs. In Wilmington, Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa is a 10-minute drive from central Dartford.

We loved the finger sandwich selection for lunch with side salad & vegetable crisps. The RG restaurant 3 course meal was superb I had the Prawn & Crayfish starter, Grilled chicken with herb sauce followed by & cheese & biscuits. My only disappointment was the breakfast of Eggs Royal as I found it rather watery.

We stayed for two nights and the food and restaurant service was excellent. My wife would have liked some pre warning on how the deserts were going to be served as the Banoffee pudding served in a glass wasn't as expected as it would come on a plate (too sickly sweet). Also the rhubarb and custard with meringue was also slightly weird - the taste was great, but not what the mind was expecting.
Where do we tell you about our overall hotel experience?

We went for afternoon tea my mums 70th birthday, and we wasnt disappointed. The afternoon tea itself was beautiful, plenty of tea, 4 types of sandwiches, 2 scones each One plain and one with fruit and to end it off 4 different types of lovely little cakes. The staff were very accomadating.
The only confussing thing is the Entrance to the restaurant doesn't have a sign above the door so we walked around it before deciding oh lets try this door. We would all definately recommend.

The restaurant had a nice layout and high quality decor. We could clearly hear a party in the room next door so it might have been an idea to turn the restaurant music up a little. Our starter of wood pigeon was delicious and the beetroot really complemented the meat.
Unfortunately the Sirloin I ordered for mains at £28 was really tough and I had to send this back, the meat quality was just poor it wasn’t really over cooked (med rare). The manager did remedy this by sending out a champagne cocktail and then a fillet steak instead but of course this meant my partner had then finished so it did really ruin the dining experience for us.

Delicious food, very good service. we didn't have to wait long for the food. The restaurant was a bit cold to start with but once more people arrived and the heating was turned up we were very comfortable

Afternoon tea with a friend. Lovely selection. Service a bit slow and had to keep asking if we could have a drink, then had to ask for tea to be served with the sandwiches and cakes ... felt we were left to our own devices with little attention being paid to us. Nice in one way, but not when you have to keep getting up to find a waiter for the basics ... tea/coffee!
