Restaurant description

A unique venture from Michelin-starred Michel Roux, Roux at Parliament Square serves innovative classic cuisine with a modern twist. Housed within a striking historic building, the luxury of the dining room is offset by the fashionable Pembury Bar on the 1st floor.

Starters include Suckling pig Risotto, Truffle Cauliflower and the delicate Blood orange smoked salmon, while mains range from Skrey Cod, or mouthwatering Brill with mussels to the star turn of Rib eye of Cumbrian Bluegrey beef with braised ox check, mushroom and potato terrine. Classic desserts on offer at Roux Westminster include Rhubarb cheesecake, Manjari chocolate with salted caramel, Mango rice pudding soufflé alongside a cheese trolley to die for.

For a more informal ambience, The Pembury Bar on the 1st floor of Roux Parliament Square restaurant offers a quaint, library-style setting with a fashionable edge. This extremely comfortable space offers premium wines and beers selected by Albert and Michel Roux, alongside a light all day menu with Chef specials at lunch and dinners.

Surrounded by such landmarks, as the Westminster Abbey and The Houses of Parliament, Roux at Parliament Square London offers a cosmopolitan hideaway.

We had the lunch time menu and everything was excellent, the food from start to finish was of a very high standard.

This is a hidden gem. Steve Groves does an excellent job with menus reflecting the seasons. The restaurant has a relaxed ambience with in obtrusive staff. The appetisers are always a lovely selection and a great compliment to the menu. Food is exceptional and also loved the petite fours. Suggest you go with the Chef recommendation with regard to his the food is cook. I always tend to go medium with pork but medium rare gave the dish a different height. Should soon get a Michelin star but I have been saying this for over 3 years.

We have had the pleasure of eating Michel Roux’s cooking at a private event and at his restaurant at Landau and Le Gavroche. We are fans! Our experience here was sadly mixed. The service was less than stellar and we got our starters at the same time as our champagne.

We had the tasting menu with the paired wines. The food was superb and the wines that were paired with each dish were a perfect match.

We had the set lunch in the bar upstairs. It was fine food, but not jaw-dropping, served in club like environment of the former members' bar. Good place for a business lunch.

Very nice experience but did not get the offer from bookatable and paid full price for the tasting menu despite asking the staff for the specific menu deal.

This could have been a lovely experience as I have eaten here before and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Unfortunately, several things made this meal a disappointing one. Firstly, as a gluten intolerant diner, I was only able to have one option in each course and that was with no sustitutes given for bread! Secondly, the meal was meant to be with a glass of wine, which we waited for throughout the meal but was not delivered. Thirdly, they charged us for a small bottle of water even though they had forgotten the wine. They also did not apologise at all! We were the only ones in the restaurant for a majority of the time but somehow felt in the way!!
