Beautiful place. Good food but a little pricey

Everything was ok, we arrived at 6.45 for our booking (2 hour slot?) I think we left around 11ish so we might have overstayed a tad. Food was good as usual, my Haddock /cheese starter was maybe a tad on the bland side but OK,overall no real complaints on the food side. Wine ?????? what is it about up scale restaurants that they seem to pride themselves in charging telephone numbers for wine, not just top,top type of wine but ANY type of wine. I don't understand it, we enjoy a glass or 2 of wine with our meal but when you are struggling to find anything under £30 per bottle (+ whatever service charge they are adding) it really takes the edge off of the evening. Langhan's, & Ivy Brasserie chain charge low £20's for their house wine & it is very drinkable, so it CAN be done. However we had a very enjoyable evening, staff were good & service good & we will go again.

Has a good location overlooking the stalls in the market, also handy for the Southbank on the Thames.Service from waiters was a bit slow, food was ok but could have been hotter. Pot of tea was very good.

Excellent service and food but not sure why it features in “restaurants with a view” on time out etc At night there is no market and any half the tables have no view Whatever it’s a nice restaurant

Thanks for fulfilling my request for a romantic table. Sevice was a bit disconnected... ordered steaks but weren’t offered sauces. We had to wait and flag down someone who could help. I ordered a courgette salad and received a green salad that wasn’t even dressed...it was just watery/wet. Nice atmosphere and front of house though. We had a simple steak dinner but....unmindful floor staff.

We had a really good meal and all our meals were very tasty with lovely presentation. Thought the restaurant decor was lovely and overlooking Borough market. All the waiters were friendly and attentive. When we were admiring the huge window, one overhead us and came over and explained the background. Will definitely go back again. Did get quite noisy as there were a couple of big tables but not a problem.
