Lovely as usual, wonderful Sunday lunch, excellent variety and good quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the tempura oysters!

Excellent, as always. Can’t fault the food, subtle, sophisticated, and as good as I have had in the area. Pleasant atmosphere, lovely views of the river.

I used to enjoy this place, but sadly the food was badly prepared and served. The cabbage was gritty and unwashed. The truffle fries were undercooked, soggy and cold. The fishcakes were burned. I would have complained at the time but with one night with friends over from New Zealand I really didn't want to bother. I hope it survives but most other dishes served, semi-reluctantly, to our party were reported as being of the same standard.

Food on New Year's Eve was excellent for all 3 of our party. The service as always was of very high quality. Prices very reasonable.

Disappointing we had always loved this resteraunt on previous visits but this time broken chair hardly any of the wine list in stock and food average no different to half decent pub

Divine Sunday lunch. Fabulous soup to start. Lamb was succulent and the chicken (so my wife tells me) was very very tasty. Lovely selection of veg, potatoes and of course hotly puds! Greens served on the side (no extra cost) all washed down with a reasonably priced half carafe is wonderful George de beouf red. The only disappointment was that we had no room for pudding!

Exceptional! We were a table of 4 out for a Christmas catch up. The welcome was warm and we were seated on a nicely set table with table cloth. The service is a perfect blend of attentive and knowledgeable without being suffocating. The food is just beautiful! We had the 3 course deal which is such good value I’m not sure how they do it. This place is an absolute gem on the ever improving quayside of North Shields. I will return!

This quant, fabulous, unassuming restaurant is overlooking the Tyne river. The whole vibe epitomises true foodies! From the eclectic menu for food to the extremely well thought out wine selection, the whole experience is simply wonderful. Best of all the price.... I just don’t know how they produce this wonderful cuisine and wine for the price. Sunday lunch.... divine!
