Fishmore Hall is in a beautiful setting and our experience from start to finish was superb. The service was fantastic, with the staff striking the balance between being friendly and welcoming to very professional; the food was sublime and the setting idyllic. I would highly recommend the restaurant and for a special (birthday) occasion, it hit the spot. The staff even added a chocolate plaque with a birthday message on it with our dessert - a nice touch. Don't take my word for it; go and enjoy the experience yourself first hand. You won't be disappointed; in fact, we were absolutely delighted with our whole experience.

    Very weak coffee
Child like sandwiches ie tuna and sweetcorn for the price should be smoked salmon etc
6 cakes but only 3 varieties
Pictures on website bear mo resemblance to what was served.
Complained on the day and via email both so far fruitless

This was my first visit to the restaurant at Fishmore Hall, and the experience was difficult to fault. We were met with a warm welcome, had a nice drink in the lounge and were then taken to the table in the conservatory, which has nice views of the surrounding farm land. I had the veal tartare to start, which was very tasty. I then had the halibut to follow, with a spicy shellfish bisque, which was also delicious. I then had "lavender" for dessert, which was a quite a surprising mix of raspberry and lavender flavours, a new one to me, but it works really well. The three course meal was accompanied by an amuse bouche and pre-dessert, which were nice touches. Overall the food was excellent in comfortable surroundings, a very relaxed atmosphere, with attentive (but not intrusive) staff.

Fabulous Afternoon Tea at Fishmore Hall. We sat outside on the terrace in the sunshine. Service was great, beautiful location and lovely food.

The food was absolutely first class and your chef should be congratulated, Unfortunately the front of house was a lot less impressive.
For instance we started with a glass of Proseco which was fine but 3/4 of the way thru a large bluebottle joined the glass,When the waiter arrived to show us to the table my wife pointed to the glass and all the waiter said was-oh!
On approaching our corner table my wife noted her seat was filthy and I told the water to change it.
Afew minutes later your staff shambled out of the spa-one smoking a vapourizer-looked slovenly.
A cat then emerged on the lawn baiting a mouse and the last time my wife dined with her mother at Fishmore the same thing happened.
My last comment is that your staff didnt seem happy to be working-particularily the girls.
Looked like a lack of leadership in the front of house to me..
A beautiful meal somewhat tarnished and at £145 you should be looking for a Michelin star.

Very good food, but portions needed to be a little more generous.
Could not fault the service and the whole of the venue was very relaxing.

It was really good, they catered to my partners allergies really well, they can sometimes be an issue when we eat out but this was brilliant and the food was lovely. Really relaxed atmosphere too.
