Lovely dining experience at Polpo Soho. Was a treat for my parents before heading out to the theatre afterwards. I had previously been to the Ape & Bird but this was closed so decided to try this one out & wasn't disappointed. Lovely ambience with low lit lighting (but not too dark)
The food is lovely my parents had never really ordered tapas before so we tried numerous dishes from the menu. A must try is the the pork & fennel meatballs. We also enjoyed the salmon crostini, beef ragu & steak which was beautifully cooked. We also ordered polpo's own wine which was lovely & worth a try.
Staff were very accommodating & friendly in this small busy environment & cant wait to go back again.
Busy and bustling - cramped tables, waiting staff made an effort to give us a bit more space. Food was good, good value for money overall.
The food is always good at Polpo. Sadly, the waitors forgot our food, forgot to maintain us as a customer during our stay, and they seemed more interested in talking to each other than serving us. The staff seemed quite young, which is necessarily not a disadvantage, but when they "forget" why they are there for, it truly is. Disappointed.
Awesome experience, excellent and attentive service. Amazing negroni! Then food was bang on as well. Get the meatballs.
Lovely atmosphere food and drink!
Setting was lovely. Food not very tasty. Risotto was tasteless.
Service was good but waiter too oversharing with his private life!
Main courses were fine; however salads and stsrters were not nice. Restricted variety. Great atmosphere
Excellent food, good service in relaxed environment. Imaginative Italian tapas sized dishes - great for a shared culinary adventure!
Lovely food. Great vibe. Great service. Great price.
Fantastic food as always! Beef Shin and meat balls were great.
