My wife and I have now visited The Falmouth Bay Seafood Café in Truro twice and each occasion we have been delighted with the experience.
The restaurant is bright, clean and fresh and the greeting at the door makes you feel special. Any specific occasion requests have been responded to with appropriate cards and even a glass of champagne.
The menu has many tempting dishes including an awesome 'Fruits de Mare' but my favourite so far are the scallops.
We are looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent food with pleasant service
Lovely welcome, grreat service (despite being two waitresses down owing to illness) and fab seafood.
Excellent seafood and lovely ambience. Slightly disappointed that I requested the restaurant made some recognition of my friend's birthday ( for which I offered to pay ) yet no reference or gesture was made to this.
Food excellent, service average and did not feel very welcomed. Service also slow. Saying that, it was busy and they have been short staffed. Day was hot and the restaurant was very hot. All 4 of us felt the heat. No air con or fans and doors and windows were insufficient. That said, food excellent, though a little pricey.
Fabulous fresh fresh fresh fish and seafood beautifully cooked. Unusual menu with a few interesting and quirky additions. Excellent and very friendly service.
Perhaps a little expensive for the quality of the food. Had a kind of ramshackle feel, which I guess is part of the charm. Wait for starters seemed like a long time, whilst the gap between starters and mains didn't seem long enough. Food was very well prepared and presented, service was a little slow but very friendly.
An excellent evening. Good food and good service. Can't believe we haven't been there before having passed it many times - may be because you don't expect a good seafood restaurant in Truro.
Brilliant restaurant - great welcome (especially for the dog!), gorgeous decor and amazing food.
Lovely staff and the food is amazing. Definitely will be going there again.
