It was a nice restaurant located on the ground floor of the Hyatt Regency hotel. Lovely surroundings, very dim atmospheric cosy candlelight. I chose to sit next to a well lit display cabinet nearby so I had enough light to see what I was doing. There were about six other customers dotted around the restaurant and the staff weren't as attentive as I would have expected. I had concerns about that as I was stood at the reception desk waiting to be seated for a good long while. The staff were very nice mind you, there didn't seem to be a particular waiter assigned to me or to the table. Sometimes it would be a woman popping by, sometimes a man and the wait times weren't unreasonable, just longer than you'd expect considering the kind of restaurant it is. The food was excellent, they ad a small selection of menu items to choose from for starter and for main. Scallops, lobster bisque, fillet steak and that kind of thing. Very flavoursome. Dessert was also a very nice apple tart with caramel sauce, topped (albeit rather ungracefully) with a ball of vanilla ice cream and served with a single spoon to eat it with so there was a certain amount of chasing it around the plate with a spoon.
very good atmosphere and service even. Good price with good quality of food
Service was ok. We were initially offered a Pre-theatre menu that was different to the festive one which we downloaded only a day earlier. The festive menu was eventually produced.
Fantastic decor, attentive staff and incredible food, best afternoon tea ever - I highly recommend.
Lovely setting, but we had some trouble getting there, having had to navigate around all of the building work that was going on in the surrounding area. It would have been nice to have had a courtesy call as my Mum and I have to take quite a big diversion.
The afternoon tea itself I could not fault, very enjoyable. The staff were polite, but I must say that the service was slow and we were waiting 20 minutes + for our drinks and it wasn't particularly busy. We then waited quite a lot longer for our food to be served.
The website said no parking but there was! Rather annoying to walk there from parking place! Food good, menu very small but service good and waiters very pleasant and accommodating. Pity about parking as the hotel had valet parking!
The staff at Aria were very welcoming and attentive. The food was all delicious and the restaurant was very comfortable
Excellent meal super service an all round delight
We have dined at Aria many times and have not been disappointed. However on this occasion we found the starters a little on the small side for the price. Mains were good (the duck was particularly tasty). Although we mentioned it was our anniversary in previous bookings, we did not get the usual small dessert this time around. ??
Amazing experience, the afternoon tea itself was very pleasant, my favourite was the sandwiches - Smoked Salmon. My sister enjoyed the scones with the lemon spread. The desserts we didn't enjoy so much as they were very rich and had different flavours so weren't to our tasting but that is personal preference. Very impressed with the halal chicken option though!!
The customer service was 10/10 made us feel super comfortable, we were treated like royalty.
Would 100% recommend!!
