Prosecco afternoon tea was lovely
Went to Bric Restaurant at the Hilton for afternoon tea. We were greeted by the Manager and shown to our reserved table in a "booth", which was a lovely idea as they explained that the restaurant was very busy with a large party and they had allocated this area for us so it was quieter. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were lovely and fresh and beautifully presented. We can't wait to return. It is also very hand if you are shopping in the City and want a nice lunch or just a coffee and cake as they are right at the side of the Victoria Centre.
I booked, and got confirmation, for four but the table on arrival was only set for two.
At first the staff were very attentive but as the lunch staff left and evening staff started their shift we were ignored. I had to ask for the bill twice as the first time the guy just went back to setting tables. We were then told that our ticket was lost and to tell them what we had. They came back with an incorrect bill for two even though we had told them what we'd had ourselves. The manager then got involved and came over asking us to pay but I hadn't even seen our actual bill! It was finally correct but we didn't get an apology or anything.
Overall the food was ok but I've had better elsewhere. The scone and brownie were incredible though.
Would have been better if they hadn't had a large party of men watching football and being loud which I hadn't expected in a place like that.
Can't fault the lunchtime staff but the evening staff really let them down.
A bit cold where the door was left open but otherwise beautiful food
Had sparkling afternoon tea here, think I have been here about 10 times this year! Perfect in every way, that's why I keep coming back.
We are happy of the service. The staffs are polite. The food was great. The afternoon tea experienced was briliant. Happy costumers.
Thank you. I hghly recommend this place.
Good service, friendly staff and the lamb was amazing.
The food was tasty and the service fast. We had three courses is just over an hour. The lamb shoulder was excellent and the house rose wine very drinkable. Would recommend.
Couldn't fault the meal or the service ---- just one word of warning ---- it needs 4 people with room left after the main course to do justice to the mammoth cheese board!
I had the afternoon tea, it was the perfect portion size and the tea was never ending , I loved it , it was my first trip there and I will be going again for sure.
