Great food and lovely atmosphere, however the wine we chose was not available so we were given another suggestion which we ordered, not knowing the cost of £10 a glass so we should have been offered numerous alternatives
It was my husbands birthday and his first visit to Liverpool, we had friends with us for the meal, we were served by David who was attentive and very friendly, the food was superb I had the Magical Pastry Tour and my husband had Free as a Bird tow friends joined us at last minute the restaurant accommodated us with a table for four. At the end of meal David gave my husband a mousse with candles and happy birthday written on the plate this was a lovely gesture. We all throughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely return. Thank you for the experience.
Lovely food and excellent service.
We visited Blakes for a pre-theatre meal in early December. This was our third visit in recent weeks but this time the Christmas Menu had just come into use and the choice (especially for the 'early-bird' offer) was excellent - ranging from the traditional to the more unusual. The Staff, as always at Blakes, are excellent. They are friendly & efficient and add that little 'extra' to the restaurant experience, namely, a sprinkling of Liverpudlian humour. We were served quickly (but not rushed) and were in plenty of time for the 7.30 pm concert.
An attractive Beatles themed bistro with tasty food that was never quite what we expected from the menu description. Enjoyed "there is no corned beef hash as tonight's chef doesn't know how to make it"
We chose to eat here because of The Beatles links. We both found it very enjoyable, reasonably priced and with a good selection of food on the menu
Lovely afternoon tea with really friendly & helpful staff. As a Beatles Fan it is certainly the place to go.
Took Afternoon Tea in Lounge of the Hard Day's Night Hotel, Liverpool with two female friends. Decor, ambience and service all very good. Staff very attentive, and friendly. AfternoonTea was very nice. However, we all thought a few more sandwiches would be nice, and a little less cake to balance the savoury/sweet experience. Obviously this is a matter of personal taste. Overall we had a lovely time, and are planning a repeat visit to Blakes Restaurant to try their lunch/evening menu in the near future.
We had afternoon tea for two the food was excellent...the cakes were delicious!!...The staff are very helpful and pleasant..and the room and facilities are lovely
Fab spot for afternoon tea. Beatles music, Beatles decor, Beatles themed cakes. Excellent service and really reasonably priced
