It was just ok,usually ww are more than happy but it was very busy and noisy, food was average and without special offer is quite expensive
Cant think of anything
Attentive and friendly staff. Lovely meal, good value for money
We isually love this Zizzi, but on this ocassion it really wasn't up to standard. The garlic bread starter was okay but the main only came an hour after we had sat down, meaning we waited at least 30mins after finishing our starter. Yes, it was busy but the table next to us received their main (no starter) within 20mins of ordering! There was never an apology for the wait and my pasta wasn't enjoyable at all as the peices of peppercorn in it were too big and left a horrible taste in my mouth each time I accidentally ate one. My partner's calzone was almost burnt on one end, which he left, so overall not an enjoyable meal at all :(
Zizzi is always reliable. The food, the service, the surroundings. We ate from the set menu, which was new for us, and were surprised that the choice was as good as it was.
I wish the toilets were kept a little tidier!
Excellent service and food. My mum can not anything but plain food, so what did they do:.... plain food pasta and chicken breast. Best and enjoyable meal my mum has had for a long while.
Excellent good and great service
Very poor experience. My wife and I were going to the theatre and decided to eat out before the performance and chose Zizzi. We left plenty of time and arrived at 17:40 as the show started at 19:30. As we had pre-booked we were seated immediately and within five minutes of arriving we had ordered two drinks and the food at the same time. Things then dragged after that and when the food finally arrived my wife's was not what she ordered, but we stuck with it as time was a consideration. We only had a main course and had decided to forgo the starter but would have a pudding. With forty minutes left to go we ordered two puddings. They took at least twenty five minutes to arrive and that was after a reminder to the serving staff, we almost left without having them. To be fair to the manager, he gave us the meals for free and only charged us for the drinks for the inconvenience, but not all was well in the restaurant that night as it appears he had already done that for another couple and was about to do it again for the couple on the next table to us as they had had similar problems. He did try to tell us they were very busy because it was half term, an acceptable excuse if there had been any children present and the place was full, but everyone was an adult and although busy there were plenty of empty seats. I think it was mainly because they had very few staff available. The chap serving us was a nice person but it was his first night and he was struggling with nobody to help him, which you would have hoped he would have had on his first night. Some of the furniture has seen better days as well, one table was so wobbly that no amount of paper put under the under the legs would stop it rocking, the whole place could do with refurbishing, the seating was uncomfortable and the ambiance poor to non existent. The staff themselves were very good and pleasant with the food acceptable, nothing outstanding. All in all a disappointing evening.
Nice and clean with friendly staff
