Starter ( beetroot hash) was very good balance of flavours. Pie not so good - casserole with a crust on top. Overall good and would go back Waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Have been coming to the Browns in Edinburgh for years but I have to say it's gone a lot down hill. The restaurant looks really shabby, the service was poor and the presentation of the food itself was a little lacklustre. Won't be visiting in the future.
Service was average, cleanliness could have been better, food was average
Excellent service considering 2 of the party were delayed. Prompt & efficient drinks & food order. Waiter was very attentive. Very tasty food when it arrived.
The meals wee lovely and served by very efficient and friendly staff
Restaurant and service tired and in need of a revamp.
Excellent light lunch. The Seared Tuna with tapenade and mussels was wonderful. Really friendly waiter full of cheery chat.
Booked deal 2 courses + glass of wine £19.95. The menu we were given had 3 main choices BUT the salmon dish was not available at 13.10pm!!!! therefore down to 2 choices.I asked why and was advised they can't anticipate demand. We opted for regular menu as choices were not suitable for either of us and ended up paying £26 each for 1 course, 1 glass of wine and 1 tea each. Not impressed at all ....
The afternoon tea was a big disappointment but at £13.50 we should have realised it wouldn't be fresh ingredients.
