Lovely cosy restaurant serving excellent food
Lovely food, friendly service and great atmosphere and value for money. We enjoyed it!
Excellent, they even had a special menu for one of our group who requires Gluten, and egg free dishes.
Lovely brunch 2 for 1 offer on full english
Nice food and a great evening. Only criticism was that it took a long time to receive our drinks on arrival.
Worst meal we have ever had, ordered Burger which a a tiny shrivelled up piece in a large extra dry, I would say STALE bun, served with pale floppy chips which we sent back to be cooked, then I had a supposedly Chocolate Fondant which was solid right through and a lump of clag, impossible to eat, as I say very upsetting for us and totally disgusting!!!
Excellent meal. A bit pricey- wouldn't have gone without the 40% off mains. Service rather slow considering they were almost empty.
It was a very good reasonably priced restaurant.the service was very good
Very good meal, great value and our waitress was very attentive and friendly
Love Café Rouge but last nights meal somewhat disappointing. 4 people in party - one starter (escargot) looked like a dogs dinner, one main (lamb cassoulet) meat inedible because of sinews & at £16+ would have thought a better cut of meat would have been used. As we were using Tesco vouchers & were with friends didn't feel like spoiling the evening by complaining. The bill with drinks (3 ciders & a glass of wine) came to £137 so would have been expensive without the Tesco vouchers. Live music didn't add anything to the experience & was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Based on last nights experience would not recommend Café Rouge but have previously raved about it - even if somewhat pricey for what you get!
