We stayed at Hotel Felix for a two day break in Cambridge. We had dinner at the restaurant both nights and one lunch. The food was very good, especially the fish dishes. Pan-fried hake and turbot were sublime. Baked cheese souffle was really delicious too. The NZ Sauvignon was an excellent choice among the lower priced wines. Service was excellent, professional and friendly. We were not kept waiting too long, but not rushed either. The meal was nice and relaxed.
The restaurant was about half full on the Wednesday and almost full on the Thursday and there was a lively buzz about the place. The only slightly irritating thing was the background music, but that's a matter of taste and not enough to put you off going there. I would definitely like to eat there again.
Food was very good. Fish was well cooked. Portion of fish was a little on the small side.
Lovely flavours and a good choice on the menu. service was good. A slight hiccup was sorted to our satisfaction.
Very pleasant hotel and restaurant went for lunch and was not impressed, one of our party had the fish course that was excelent the other three had the lamb rump that was very poor tough stringy and uneatable. Despite leaving most on the plate nothing was said by the serving or kitchen staff !!!!!!!
We had invited our 2 grandsons to join us and we all had a superb welcome and a delicious meal. The decorations are lovely.
Very enjoyable lunch an excellent price. Service very good
Lovely setting and delicious food -they were happy to have us change some of the options on our afternoon tea. Bottomless coffee too! And decaf for my pregnant friend.
We were very well looked after by friendly and helpful staff
