In what used to be a government building and royal residence in Witten, you can now find the Haus Herbede, a traditional restaurant with an ambitious-looking menu. Gourmets can look forward to ever-changing seasonal specialities, such as fried scallops with beluga lentils and Thai curry, red mullet fillets served with lemon pepper sauce and spinach, or a breast of pheasant in a grape and pepper sauce with pineapple kraut and rosemary flavoured potatoes. There is also a children's menu, a large selection of vegetarian dishes and an extensive wine list to complete the menu.
