Featured in the Michelin Guide, the 18th-century Tormaukin Hotel delivers inventive versions of British and European classics to be enjoyed in the restaurant, conservatory or bar. An outdoor terrace offers al fresco dining in warmer weather.

The Tormaukin Hotel menu is updated weekly and features flavour-rich starters such as smoked sea trout with beetroot purée, Waldorf salad, and vanilla citrus aioli. Follow this with beef olives with caramelised horseradish and root vegetables, or pan-seared scallops with artichoke velouté, black pudding, pea purée and pancetta.

Amongst the tempting desserts, discover the likes of cappuccino crème brûlée with fresh berries and hazelnut shortbread, or warm treacle tart with marmalade ice cream and caramelised orange. Sandwiches and lighter bites are also on offer throughout the day.

Packed with rustic charm, exposed brick walls, wooden beams and a roaring fire create a relaxed, cosy atmosphere. Located a 10-minute drive from Gleneagles, the Tormaukin Hotel Glendevon offers a unique rural escape amidst stunning Scottish scenery.

Lovely decorated, great ambience. Staff were lovely, almost too attentive at times. Loved the smoked salmon, steak and brownie. Partners steak was over cooked as asked for rare but was more medium but was too hungry too complain!! Will definitely be coming back for more food tho, could have had the whole menu

Not quite what we were expecting. House wine very expensive at £25 per bottle food average and certainly not worth the prices desserts were frozen and not defrosted properly would have thought they could have had some home made desserts staff pleasant but need some training

We were really surprised at the scope and quality of the menu. It's been a little while since we ate there and its certainly moved up market. The range of dishes was excellent, the service was quick, the quality and flavour of food presented was superb - and we eat out a lot in fine dining restaurants so have lots to compare it to. Well done to the team. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely food and hotel full of character
Service a bit slow and no vegetarian choice- did offer a vegetarian dish when asked however really should be on the menu to avoid the customer feeling awkward making this request!

Dining at Tormaukin is rarely a disappointment. Food as always was excellent! Although would appreciate if fish dishes also advised when bacon or ham is included....

Food is amazing and always has been. I am leaving feedback on this ocassion as I feel necessary regarding, perhaps over attentive service. On this ocassion there was a waiter we'd not seen before who was almost too attentive to the point of feeling a tad harrassed as though there should have been a problem to be dealt with. I know just doing his job but at one stage we were asked if everything was ok with our meals beore we had even taken a bite! I'm sure we are not the only ones who would just like to be left alone when out for dinner. I think less is more on this occassion.
Normally ratings would all be 5 stars. I just felt I needed to mention this.
We will definitely be back though.
