Really enjoyed our meal here. The food was delicious and very well presented. Our waitress was delightful and professional and her recommendations were spot on. The rest of the staff were also very helpful and friendly.

A really enjoyable evening with delicious food and very welcoming staff. We will be back to enjoy another meal with perhaps some shellfish on the menu for a main course.

Everything excellent, Sunday beef lunch outstanding, service spot-on. Parking would be an issue in the summer but that does not detract from our experience. Would love to stay and enjoy an evening or two.

Delicious meals at Port Gaverne. Would highly recommend. The waiting staff are a little hit and miss but this shouldn’t put you off.

Our meal was very good, with excellent service from our waitress who was friendly and welcoming. The Brill was particulary good.
However, we had called in the day before for drinks after a long walk. All seemed fine and we were impressed with the dog treats handed out, which was a lovely touch. Things deteriorate after this. The service from the barman was extremely poor. He was careless, pouring the measures of gin twice down the outside of the glasses. When this was pointed out, he shrugged and said "it was only a bit". He seemed cross that we (two women) requested large round glasses for the gins and said there weren't any. He then huffed when we suggested large wine glasses instead. He seemed irritated with the number of different drinks ordered ( the round came to £26) and was, frankly, rude.
If we hadn't been staying so close, we would have cancelled our booking for the following night's meal.
Please address this, as we would not recommend the pub for a drink if he is working.

Exceptionally poor quality fish and chips - very small haddock, tasteless and over cooked. Chips dark and old. Mushy peas- tablespoonful only - disgusting .... AND well overpriced meal. No way can this place profess to have two rosettes. It must have been a dream someone made up once upon a time .... wont ever revisit.
