Offering spectacular views out over the Ayrshire coastline, Truin Restaurant at Marine Hotel offers diners a gourmet taste of modern Scottish dining with subtle international tweaks thrown in. Traditional afternoon teas are also served, or relax at the Arran Bar for a drink before dinner.
The Truin Restaurant menu starts off with generously filled sandwiches for lunch served on brown or white bloomer, with gluten-free bread also available. Later in the day, succulent 30-day aged Scottish steaks are a popular choice, along with a selection of signature burgers. Home-style British mains include steak pie and shepherd's pie, while the seafood menu offers up mussels in white wine with garlic cream.
Lighter options also feature at Truin Restaurant in Ayrshire, with superfood salads and Mediterranean pasta recipes. For afternoon tea, tuck into delicate sandwiches and all kinds of home-baked cakes and pastries. Up at the bar there is a good whisky selection, and a choice of classic cocktails and fine wines on hand too.
An elegant, tranquil restaurant on the Ayrshire coast, Triun Restaurant at Marine Hotel is a 4-minute drive from Troon Rail Station.

The food and service are excellent, but the view of the clubhouse and 18th hole at Royal Troon is the reason that every golfer should eat and stay at the Marine Hotel.

NYE set meal.
Meal was good overall but disappointing in some aspects.
One dish was advertised to come with broccoli- I got one stem of broccoli.
The other was the sea breem which came with mainly beans and a very small piece of fish.

Booked this for a prefirework dinner, the fireworks got rescheduled but we decided to give it a shot anyway. Nice building, great ample parking, friendly welcome, taken to table immediately, nice view and tables set up well, menu given right away. Drinks order took a while to be taken and to arrive ( arrived after the starter) but waiter did apologise. All courses were beautiful. I recommend the parfait, bread basket, belly pork and cheesecake. I did request a substitution which didn't happen but it was sorted out and I wasn't over charged. I went away full and happy. It was a nice atmosphere and somewhere I will be back to for my Christmas meal. Maybe just order two drinks at a time, only advice if going.

The food was delicious and presented very well.
The dining staff were very attentive who ensured that all 9 meals came at the same time.

Breakfast was good, dinner average, starter & sweet well presented, main course was a let down due to portion size and presentation , chef not able to cook a steak to customer preferance , we were dinner included deal, thank goodness as over priced with some of the dishes , staff very friendly.

The server was a little flustered, as it was very busy, but extremely pleasant. The was no record of our booking but a table was swiftly put together. Afternoon tea was nice for the price, however a couple of the items contained nuts - we were not told what each cake was and my nut allergic sister unfortunately had eaten a bite of one when she realised. Feel as though we should have been made aware of this.

Couldn’t fault the staff or food but I am still waiting on a call from the general manager as to why there was an extra 20% vat added on to my bill which should of been £58 and ended up being £71? This is fraud I have got a refund or a reason to why this was added on??

The restaurant has lovely views over the Royal Troon Golf Course and over to Arran. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The food is delicious. My favourite dish was the haddock. It filled the plate.
