Booked Afternoon Tea for myself, mother and daughter. Service was excellent and we were given a lovely table with a view looking out onto the river. The Afternoon Tea arrived nicely presented and with a good selection of sandwiches, scone, cakes and unlimited drinks. More than we could eat. Would recommend. Good value for money and a nice setting.

Excellent afternoon tea and service. The ham & mustard sandwiches had a very heavy mustard content but had taste. However disappointed that the public male toilet had no operating hand dryers and the only method of drying hands was tissue intended for wiping your nose. I would expect from a hotel chain like yours for at least paper towels or proper hand towels. The signs informing guests that the dryers were 'dangerous so don't turn them on' and 'waiting for repair' left one feeling that poor management was in operation. You must have an emergency maintenance person who could have removed the fuses to lessen the impact of the notice. For two air hand dryers to fail and still be waiting for repair means both failed at the same time (unlikely) or poor maintenance management. Likewise one toilet cubicle was out of action. I felt it was a not too safe a place or budget issue. Both bad management. Shame really as the food was excellent but I will always remember both together.

Afternoon Tea was delicious, finger sandwiches, 2 each of 4 different types with trifle, cheesecake, chocolate brownie and scones & cream (1 each of everything ) to follow. Clearly couldn't eat everything, however the staff kindly wrapped our leftovers up in foil to take home! Lovely setting sat overlooking the river. Great afternoon.

We had afternoon tea, the sandwiches were plentiful and very nice,as were the cakes/scone. The waiter was very nice and helpful. We got our hot drinks 10 to 15 minutes before the food, so an extra coffee was ordered, for which there was a charge, usually with afternoon tea the hot drinks have been refilled, (included in the price),that was disappointing.

The waitresses were lovely and very polite although it did take 40 minutes after being seated before we even got our teas and coffee, which they also forgot our coffee and milk for tea. Sandwiches and cakes were nice but could of done with a few more sandwiches.

Overall very nice experience. Good solid service given it was V Day. Only complaint would be that the main course was a wee bit cool. Could have done with hotter plates as it's a long way from the kitchen to our table.

Booked last minute afternoon tea. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, pleasant restaurant. Dining plates / tea pots / cutlery could have been from a motorway service station. The food was hit and miss. Sandwiches nice, fresh, varied. Scones were hard (stale?), and who serves apple crumble with afternoon tea?!
