Fantastic 4-course tasting menu! We went here for my father's birthday and were delighted by everything, from the welcome as we arrived to the fantastic food provided by chef Michael Fowler. The building is lovely and there are great outside seating areas (for warmer times of the year). We shall certainly be back. Highly recommended.

Very warm welcome from Gary and the team put us at ease immediately. Service was very open, friendly and efficient throughout. We had a proper Sunday Lunch with generous portions of deliciously tender Herefordshire beef and real gravy, served on white linen. One suggestion, flow through the restaurant was a little tight in places with the odd chair chicane. Should be easily fixed. An enjoyable experience.

The food was excellent. Tasty and interesting and the perfect size. Beautiful onion bread served with the food too. Table service was friendly, relaxed and helpful.

A really lovely lunch with tasty dishes that also catered for our vegan and dairy intolerant guests. Beautiful setting, super staff and I can’t wait to go again.

Can't imagine a more congenial host: always a special welcome. Splendid, cosy atmosphere in large, Georgian house. New chef has upped the game even more with fine subtle flavours and new tweaks, fine pairings of ingredients, such as halibut with basil. And the moon shone through the cedar tree through a huge picture window! Service perfect: courteous and unobtrusive.

Cedar tree. Lovely surroundings although not great lighting when you leave to go onto the country road. The hotel and restaurant was comfortable and enough space in the dining room to have a private evening dinner out The staff were welcoming and really helpful I was nervous eating somewhere new as I have a serious wheat allergy The staff checked what I could eat from the menu and took the concerns I had seriously and ensured they discussed my allergy needs with the chef The food was of excellent quality and cooked perfectly to my individual taste. Attention to detail was faultless. I would be happy to return again and recommend the Resturant to others

The food was excellent but the service was superb, the decor may be a bit outdated but the very warm welcome, and down to earth nature of the staff made it a pleasure
