Large tables and chairs, comfy and spacious, waitress friendly, efficient and asked chef about alternative starters for my daughter and came back with some. Lovely fresh bread rolls and butter and iced water.

Lovely afternoon tea and able to cater for food intolerances (only criticism was the dairy free scones were rock hard). Staff friendly, polite & very smartly dressed. Beautiful location with gorgeous views from where we were sitting.

The quinoa starter was a huge let down. The quinoa tasted of nothing, the goat’s cheese tasted strange and the beetroot wasn’t good either. I find it extremely hard to believe that anyone tasted that food before it went out. The veggie options on the menu were pretty poor. Polenta definitely isn’t something I’d choose so I went with the bar menu and ordered quiche and a side of chips. Even on the bar menu, the veggie main option was a curry. Why not a nice veggie burger? Why do a curry when there’s no curry anywhere else on the menu? All in all, it felt like the food was trying to be something it wasn’t. The service was also a let down as all staff were approximately 14 years old so when I voiced my opinion on the starter, nothing was done as I don’t feel the staff are trained to deal with this kind of issue or are just too young to manage it effectively. Polite enough but zero knowledge on handling complaints. The experience definitely did not live up to expectations, which was a shame, as we really had high hopes and the prices suggest a better experience would be enjoyed. Not very pleased.

I was very impressed with the service and helpfulness of the staff... Our table was not ready.... so we were offered a complementary round of drinks and we waited in the bar area. The food was very nice and very well presented.... Over all i would highly recommend this restaurant.....it’s definitely worth a visit Regards Ciro

Starter and main course we're tasty. Had the cheese instead of dessert - very disappointing - mild, almost plasticy cheddar - let the meal down.

We wanted to use the Pavilion as we were staying in the hotel, but it wasn't quite the promised award-winning dining experience. The scallops were overcooked but the soup they were in was nice. There was far too much Polenta for the main dish and at £18.00 expected better. The desert was nice and pleasant. The service however was impeccable and Dan, our waiter was very attentive as was the manager.

Food was average, it was really let down by a poor service. If you’re charging high than average prices then both the food and service should be above average. We had a few issues on the night and whilst resolved it didn’t leave a great impression for a high quality dining venue. I would recommend people avoid it and perhaps head out to some of the restaurants nearby.
