With striking floral print on the walls, art by Alexander Hollweg and tartan seating throughout, Refuel is a brilliantly stylish eatery inside the popular Soho Hotel. Inventive, beautifully presented dishes are served throughout the day, along with contemporary afternoon teas and signature cocktails.
The Refuel menu kicks off daily with brunch, offering classics ranging from eggs any way, to Canadian pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, or French toast with caramelised bananas and honey yoghurt. Later in the day, diners can sample bold flavour combinations in starters like seared tuna with ponzu, avocado puree, chilli, coriander and truffle oil, while hearty mains include slow-braised ox cheek with beetroot mash, heritage carrots and red wine jus. There are premium steaks from the grill, and vegetarian pasta recipes like oft herb gnocchi primavera with mint and feta.
Afternoon tea at Refuel offers traditional scones and international teas, as well as eclectic items like leek, cheese and oney roast ham croquette, and sweet treats like chocolate and orange flower pot with chocolate soil. A huge range of signature cocktails, premier spirits, champagnes and wines are served at the Refuel bar in Soho, as well as a menu of light bites such as pulled pork sliders, spring rolls and mini Scotch quail's eggs.
A bold, stylish venue with impeccable presentation, Refuel in London is 6 minutes' walk from Tottenham Court Road Tube Station.

We went for an afternoon tea to celebrate a special birthday. I had booked it several weeks before the event (Refuel, at the Soho Hotel). It was a five star experience. All the staff were extremely courteous and pleasant. We arrived 5 minutes late but that presented no problem. The lady at the reception area of the restaurant said we had the choice of two tables - one in the lounge (nice sofas and low coffee tables) which was very pleasant - but we decided to choose to eat in the main tearoom /restaurant area as we thought it would be easier to manage the food!
And what food .... we had a glass of champagne and a pot of lovely tea and when the sandwiches and cakes arrived it was more like an art installation - it looked extremely pretty and was so well presented. The savoury selection not only included neatly cut finger sandwiches it also included some delicate pastries - like minature sausage rolls containing chirizo and butternut squash delicacies (I think) ... whatever they were they were delicious! The sweet selection had the expected scones (2 fruit and 2 plain per couple) and of course jam and clotted cream, but also shot glasses filled with white chocolate and topped with manderin orange pieces, (tasted devine). Plus little meringue nests filled with cream and passion fruit. They also had profiteroles but buried inside the choux pastry was cream, and banana and they were topped with a mixture of Nutella chocolate and dark chocolate. So everything was delicious and had a little twist on the traditional afternoon tea.
The furnishings of the hotel were beautiful, tartan chairs, comfy cushions, and quirky fixtures and ornaments - you looked out to the main bar which had very attractive wall coverings. And the ladies WC was also very clean, tidy and pleasantly decorated. And the best thing ? Such good value for London! £35 per person with a glass of champagne and about £24 if you didn't. Great selection of quality teas included. We left FULL and happy!

Visited The Soho Hotel for afternoon tea. It was excellent. We were seated in the drawing room, it was beautifully furnished with big comfy sofas and armchairs. The crockery was pretty and elegant. All of the staff were really friendly and polite. They came to check that we were happy with food, if we wanted anything else and to take group photos for us. The set menu for the afternoon tea was lovely. Because all items are small it doesn't look as filling as it actually is, we were all stuffed, we even left the last scone we were so full. Everything was really tasty and beautifully presented. We stayed for 2 1/2 hours, there was no time limit set. It was very good value. A lovely way to spend an afternoon, I definately intend to go again. My daughter has been there for cocktails after work several times and really enjoyed that as well. The hotel is in a really good position for sightseeing, I would also recommend it for anyone visiting London, I'm sure it would be an ideal place to stay.

The Refuel restaurant is lovely. It feels both luxurious and very trendy; perfect for Soho. The service was outstanding, incredibly friendly and observant. The Afternoon Tea itself - and Bellini - was absolutely delicious, and very accommodating of some pretty inconvenient vegetarian and vegan dietary requests. Really lovely day, would be delighted to return.

Always a great experience - except for the service , which in the library and in the bar was as usual painfully slow !!

Our afternoon tea was fantastic! The selection of food was big (maybe a little too big, we couldn't quite finish) and delicious! We could taste that every dish had been picked carefully and was of highest quality. The tea was excellent too and we appreciated the hot water being refilled as often as we wanted. The mimosa with freshly squeezed orange juice was probably the best I ever had. On top of all, the ambience was great, we loved the British ladylike little tea room and the staff was lovely. Thank you for the excellent dining experience.

Brilliantly friendly and efficient staff, delicious food and we were put in a beautiful quiet library room so totally gorgeous setting. Totally spoilt from start to finish and left to relax and enjoy for as long as we liked. Such good value compared to other cream teas too.
