With striking floral print on the walls, art by Alexander Hollweg and tartan seating throughout, Refuel is a brilliantly stylish eatery inside the popular Soho Hotel. Inventive, beautifully presented dishes are served throughout the day, along with contemporary afternoon teas and signature cocktails.
The Refuel menu kicks off daily with brunch, offering classics ranging from eggs any way, to Canadian pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, or French toast with caramelised bananas and honey yoghurt. Later in the day, diners can sample bold flavour combinations in starters like seared tuna with ponzu, avocado puree, chilli, coriander and truffle oil, while hearty mains include slow-braised ox cheek with beetroot mash, heritage carrots and red wine jus. There are premium steaks from the grill, and vegetarian pasta recipes like oft herb gnocchi primavera with mint and feta.
Afternoon tea at Refuel offers traditional scones and international teas, as well as eclectic items like leek, cheese and oney roast ham croquette, and sweet treats like chocolate and orange flower pot with chocolate soil. A huge range of signature cocktails, premier spirits, champagnes and wines are served at the Refuel bar in Soho, as well as a menu of light bites such as pulled pork sliders, spring rolls and mini Scotch quail's eggs.
A bold, stylish venue with impeccable presentation, Refuel in London is 6 minutes' walk from Tottenham Court Road Tube Station.

We sat in the Drawing room. Service was excellent and atmosphere nice and relaxed. Food was spot on and crockery was to die for!

The initial service was very welcoming and friendly. We were seated in an area where the atmosphere and ambiance was appreciated. The actual ordering process took some time though, as we had to wait a while for our order to be taken. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

Had afternoon tea for two on a midweek afternoon. The lounge area wasn't very full and we enjoyed a very relaxed tea. The food was good with a good variety of sweet and savoury items. The service was OK, we had to ask for jam with our scones and didn't receive the water that was offered when we arrived but we weren't hurried and had a lovely experience. Would return again.

Lovely interior but poor quality of welcome. I made an online booking for afternoon tea 30 mins before arriving, I was asked to prove I had made this reservation even though the place was not busy. Then i was asked to take a seat 'anywhere'- as i approached a table with my guest, another waiter told us not to sit at that table (which was empty) and directed us to another. When we sat at the other table then a different waiter came over to move us to yet another table! This table was directly beside another couple having afternoon tea, when i wished to have at least one table's space between us I was told that this was not possible. After I asked why, the waitress (yes another one) told me that the table would have to be set. Pausing momentarily to wonder how long it could possibly take to place two cups and saucers on the table, I relented and went for the 'close quarters' option. The Tea itself was OK- some of the cakes had seen better days but i would not intend to repeat the experience.

We went for tea at The Soho Hotel, afternoon tea before evening theatre, it was ordinary, sandwiches were good asked for some more took an age to get to us, cakes were ok, scones were over cooked. Have eaten at Charlotte street, The Haymarket, and Ham Yard, all much better. Overall it was ok, nothing special, nothing really bad, just a shame it didn't seem as good as the other Firmdale premises.

We took afternoon tea in the library which was a good location as the main restaurant was fairly noisy .
We did feel that 3 finger sandwiches was a small portion not even 1 round of sandwiches ! We asked for a second pot of tea as it had gone cold and were charged most places of any calibre replenish tea/ sandwiches one without having to ask and no extra charge . It did spoil an otherwise rather lovely experience a birthday treat !!! -
