Amazing food and drink. I loved that there was a vegan tea in the first place. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was amazing. Everything from the food to the service and setting. Also such a great price for the quality.

Enormous Vegan afternoon tea - it was HUGE!

Quite big deal for us as it was our wedding anniversary celebration.
Place was looking nicer nd had pleasant ambience. One of the servers ( male) who was serving us first was polite and informative, another server ( lady) seem like she didn’t care much, just very basic service.
Food presentation was awful, everything on one “plate”, all deserts covered in unnecessary sugar dusting, not sure if to disguise what was on the plate or for decoration... Sandwiches were big but very little spread inside, mostly tasted of bread. Scones arrived cold, not even warmed up, despite menu descriptions of warm scones. All scones and cakes, apart from brownie were very dry and crumbly, not sure if they were old or just made poorly ( I know it was vegan, so no eggs, but they are good eggs substitutes). The best from the menu was brownie and dessert ball ( like power balls). Tea was good quality, especially mint one, we didn’t try coffee. But it wasn’t enough to make it good afternoon tea, let alone special celebration.

Cakes were dry and the food experience was not great. I am not sure if the chef is vegan because if he is I was expecting a way more!

The atmosphere was lovely. The service was lovely. The mock tail was a nice touch. The food on the other hand let the afternoon tea down. For £29 I expected much more. I have been a vegan for 2 years now and tasted many other vegan sandwiches and cakes. The seitan sandwich and sun dried tomato sandwich was delicious. The cakes (supposed to be the best part) was by far the worst. The scone was rock hard and too the chocolate one. The cakes were dry and flavourless. The worst bit was they were all the same texture, I couldn’t even finish it because all I could taste was bicarbonate and a fizzing sensation. I almost felt like you knew it was so dry that’s why you gave so much coconut cream!

It was not good at all.

Location is great, restaurant has a very clean and relaxing atmosphere, staff very friendly,
food well presented but very tasteless and dry.

I had a vegan afternoon tea and was very disappointed. Cakes and scones very dry and would break in crumbs when cut. I could eat them as asked the waitress to ask the chef if he could prepare a fresh one. But she only said that that is the recipe and that they would do a new one for the next day.
The savoury sandwiches were also a disaster and very dry except for the one with sundried tomatoes.

It was a waste of money (32 pounds including 10%).

It was awful. Probably the worst meal we have had. The food was inedible. The scones were rock hard and the cakes were so dry we just couldn't eat them. We were there on a Monday so it was very quiet but the service was also awful (there were no staff to be seen). We left almost all of the food. The staff did not come over to check on us after we had received the food otherwise we would have sent it back. We were there for an hour and nobody came back so we left without seeing anyone - we had a gift voucher so didn't need to wait for a bill.

The Vegan Tea Time was absolutely delicious. We had a great time at the Hotel and enjoyed every second of our amazing food experience. Unfortunately we got charged more than 7 Pound for service, which nobody told us before.

Friendly staff, sandwiches were very tasty, presented beautifully on a slate platter
However, the bread was not very fresh, and I was not happy about a service charge of £7.00 being added to my bill. I think I should decide if I want to leave a tip.
