Restaurant description

Bringing rustic pizza recipes from Bologna to Hoxton Square, Radio Alice is a stylish spot to enjoy laid-back meals, with its exposed brick, bar seating, and colourful murals on the walls. The ingredients are sourced from small-scale Italian suppliers, which gives diners an authentic taste of Mediterranean tradition.

Pizzas on the Radio Alice menu are made with organic stoneground flour, and are available with either a red base, topped with organic whole tomatoes, or a white base, with organic fiordilatte mozzarella. Premium imported toppings include 'nduja, courgette, smoked scamorza cheese and pancetta. Diners can also add a little something extra to their crusts, like chilli pesto oil, and honey mustard butter for an additional kick.

Traditional Italian desserts are given inventive tweaks at Radio Alice in Hoxton. Chocolate tart is served with brandy drunk apricot, and there is cucumber sorbet with the option of adding gin. The wine list has vintages from around Italy, there are craft beers, and even spirits from East London as well.

A trendy addition to London's pizza scene, Radio Alice is a 9-minute walk from Hoxton Rail Station.

My pizza was really good..but the vegan pizza was a bit bland if I'm honest! The manager came to our table at some point and was lovely and friendly. Otherwise found no atmosphere to the place. Delivery drivers were arguing by the door. Our waitress didn't seem to understand english and couldn't understand the names of the pizzas. It was just frustrating trying to communicate

Incredibly good, better than any other previous time, I think the sourdough is profiting of the warm weather! :)

I absolutely LOVED the pizza at Radio Alice. Really unique in its own wonderful way. Pillowy, chargrilled, just chewy enough, and speckled with semolina crunchiness. The tomatoes are to die for, and each individual topping felt like it had been treated separately and lovingly. Not your usual "throw it all in an stick in the oven". The aubergine pieces on my pizza were intensely tasty yet delicate, the cheese is in just the right amount, the oil can be drizzled separately. I also love how you can't change the pizzas on the menu, so if you want a variation to the balance they've clearly worked so hard to achieve, you can put that together away from the chef's sensitive eyes by order additional toppings as "sides". I love anyone who takes their pizza this seriously. A genuinely special place. I'm Italian, and have rarely had pizza this well prepared and thought out anywhere in Italy. Really awesome. Only note - such loud music!! Distracts from both conversation, and the delicious pizza. Pizza that good needs a calmer, quieter environment to be savoured.

The Flior di late pizza with walnuts, Gorgonzola and honey is amazing. The choice of beers was impressive, and the food came out within 10 minutes. Perfect experience, 5 stars.
