My friend bought me an afternoon tea voucher as part of my Christmas present. This was in the list of places I could use it. It looked a lovely old country pub and when we arrived we were not disappointed. A large car park with a lovely seated garden area overlooking water at the bottom which in the summer would be lovely. Our afternoon tea was lovely lots of sandwiches including ham, egg & cress and cheese & cucumber. The amazing cakes included warm scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream, cream eclair, lemon meringue and macaroon. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back again.

The Queens Head was great and I'd highly recommend it.
The location's lovely, the pub and restaurant is old and feels very comfortable and relaxed with a good selection of local brewery ales to taste.
We had: Ham hock terrine, crab cakes, panfried venison, sticky toffee pud, lemon delice and Red Kite Ale from Oakham Ales.

Everything was home made, tasted amazing and was perfectly cooked.
With drinks we spent £75 between two of us and had the best restaurant meal we've ever had.

    We'd definitely go back

We had an excellant meal. The ribeye steak was the best we had ever had, as was the bacon the next morning.
