We had an excellant meal. The ribeye steak was the best we had ever had, as was the bacon the next morning.

The Queens Head was great and I'd highly recommend it.
The location's lovely, the pub and restaurant is old and feels very comfortable and relaxed with a good selection of local brewery ales to taste.
We had: Ham hock terrine, crab cakes, panfried venison, sticky toffee pud, lemon delice and Red Kite Ale from Oakham Ales.

Everything was home made, tasted amazing and was perfectly cooked.
With drinks we spent £75 between two of us and had the best restaurant meal we've ever had.

    We'd definitely go back

Booked an afternoon tea and thought it was lovely. As much tea or coffee as you wanted and definitely do not go away feeling hungry. Then to finish a really pleasant afternoon off had a drink down by the river.

We were early for our afternoon tea booking and the guy serving said no problem we could have it .
Hi light was the friendliness of this guy.
The sandwiches had already been made and had been in the fridge so didn’t feel as fresh as they could have been. Ham was covered in whole grain mustard which neither of us liked. Personal preference I know.
The cakes were lovely, a shame that all the same colour apart from the chocolate one. Would have been nice to have something fruity esp as strawberries in season.
Scones again were lovely but the clotted cream was like concrete, when you tried to spread it, it wrecked the scones.
    Tea was good and plentiful.
    Like the vintage crockery theme.
