Dining area, guest and lobby areas decor will need to be improved soon using neutral colours and very simple patterns (too much and varying patterns to wall paper and carpets)
Food wise, the cheesecake base was hard other than that the remaking courses were fine.

Goats cheese starter delicious but salmon main course would have benefited from a sauce. Chocolate truffle dessert yummy. Lighting in some areas was a bit bright but general decor very tasteful.

We were on holiday to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary, and wanted a special meal on the actual day. I found the Abbey Hotel through the 'visit Worcestershire' publications, and it looked OK on line. We could not get into the hotel car park, there was an auction on, so we had to find some on street parking (in a town that we did not know) and were late arriving. The restaurant was poorly signposted at the hotel - down some stairs. It looked as if it was in a 1970s time warp - very brown decor with wood-look Formica table tops, with a runner, instead of table cloths. The staff were friendly, professional and efficient. I had put on the booking that it was our anniversary, but we were directed to a table in the middle of the area of the room that was being used. After we had been seated and started ordering, we were offered a table by the window, that had been vacated, but it was too much bother to move, so we declined. The food was good, with an interesting menu, and good value, at £25 for 3 courses, but it was not the romantic venue and experience that I had hoped for.
