When we arrived at Prezzo it was quite busy but we were seated and served very quickly. The staff were very polite and quick to serve, we didn’t have to wait long for anything. When we were given our menus, our waitress suggested olives and a bread dish for the table so it could be prepared while we chose the rest of our food, which I thought was very helpful and efficient. The staff were always smiling and the food was lovely. The menu had a wide range and something for everyone.
We chose the flatbread sharer, calamari and olives to start. The different flatbreads were all delicious and not too greasy. The calamari was battered beautifully with a lovely crisp coating and the dip was excellent for both the calamari and the crusts from the flatbread.
My main was the chicken spaghetti carbonara. The portion was huge, perhaps a little too much for some especially as the dish is particularly creamy (however I hate wasting food so I did finish it!). It was incredibly tasty though so next time i won’t have so much to start.
My partner chose the lentil, beetroot and butternut squash salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She asked for the dressing on the side, which was not problem and our waitress happily obliged.
Finally we both chose the brownie dome pudding which was delicious and a delightful bit of theatre to end the evening.
All in all our experience was very enjoyable, and as we rarely get the chance to dine out without our four children I’m glad we weren’t disappointed.
