We took a friend out, and we all enjoyed the experience at Prezzo immensely. The food was delicious, served quickly and the range of gluten free options was a pleasant surprise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we will certainly be returning to the Whitstable Prezzo soon.

Prezzo – Whitstable is in the heart of this charming seaside town. Surrounded by beautiful boutiques and year-round water sports activities, this Italian restaurant is just a 5-minute walk from the seafront.

The Prezzo menu presents a range of exciting dishes, crafted using the season’s best ingredients. Sample meat & fish dishes like chicken Milanese or sea bass, along with classic pasta recipes, hand-stretched, stone-baked pizzas, and risotto.

All the favourite antipasti dishes are on offer, as well as speciality folded calzones, and piled-high ‘la famiglia’ pasta dishes, designed for sharing. Start your visit with a fruity, fizzy pre-dinner aperitivo from the Prezzo cocktail list, and finish with an indulgent Italian-style dessert.

Between the beach and Whitstable Train Station (just a 9-minute walk away), Prezzo serves modern Italian food in the centre of a chic seaside town.

It was awful all the vegetables were under cooked, no they were raw. The pork belly was dry and didn't fall apart when it was atacked with a knife and fork very little sauce, on the whole not a very nice experience

Friendly staff , good atmosphere. Felt the menu we were offered was more limited than usual. There were fewer options on both pizza and pasta options.

The Restaurant was extremely clean and well laid out. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and extremely efficient. Absolutely no problem there
Unfortunately I personally found the food to be a bit on the bland side
I had the crab cakes for a starter but you couldn't really taste the crab
The main course was chicken and mushroom ravioli in a mushroom broth but unfortunately the broth was nearly tasteless which sort of ruined the whole dish for me
My wife was reasonably happy with her food so maybe it was just me on an off day

My vegetarian friend ordered the pumpkin and squash risotto. When it arrived the pumpkin was hard we mentioned it to the waitress all she said was that they could take the pumpkin away and recook it! She declined as this would take time and she would have eaten the rest of her meal! The remaining meals were barely warm! We had to wait a long time for our drinks order as well. We also ordered floaty coffees which took over 10 minutes to arrive and the cream was not floating it had sunk and again were stone cold!

Well, the food was really very good and though we skipped starters the mains were well presented, attractive and tasty. Desserts too, nicely arranged, great polenta cake and a ice cream/sorbet dish.
The decor was good, bright, and has nice features but is looking worn in places, and in need of a spruce up. For some reason the current hard decor in most chain restaurants leads to a lot of "sound reverb" when the place is busy, and this was no exception. The pitch of sound from kids seems to be amplified, so perhaps some research in decoration that absorbs certain frequencies is called for.
They used to say that MacDonald's seating was "twenty minute seating" designed to get you out of the joint and others in, and I find that an hour sat in the Prezzo chairs is enough too. People rolling from buttock to buttock becomes a dance to look out for.
There was a staff attitude on the evening, that seemed tense and snappy, and not awfully welcoming, and service was slower than usual, so perhaps staff shortage might explain it.
Overall, it was a fairly good experience rather than a great, or even good, one.

The food was great, our waiter who appeared to be the owner was slightly rude about various situations and uninterested.
