Dining experience awful.!! Had recommended the restaurant to my friend and her children as I always had good food and the staff were excellent until last week. The waitress was helpful but as she explained she was new. 5 of us were eating 4 starters arrived the fifth 15 minutes later which was for a child. We then wait for 1 Hour for the main course. 4 arrived the fifth took 15 more . It gets better, 2 meals were lukewarm mine which I asked for no chillies arrived with chillies then they removed them brought it back looking a mess , and guess what it tasted of chillies could not eat it . WHAT A AWFUL MEAL by this time we had been in the restaurant for 1and three quarter hours. The manager said there would be no charge for the meal. I should think not it was a disgrace .

Not exactly a friendly welcome, more of a ‘you turned up then’. Trying to understand our server was hard as her English was poor. I had booked the two courses and a drink for £16.95. However when we ordered, we had been given the wrong menu. Anyhow, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and king prawn starters to share, both fairly tasteless. The mushrooms were undercooked and the prawns in a watery tomato sauce with very little seasoning although we did find two slices of chilli in the sauce to pep it up. We both ordered the sea bass as our main course. This was served on a bed of peas which I hate and wasn’t mentioned on the menu. We also ordered one portion of cauliflower and broccoli as a side dish. Very poor value for such a small portion. The broccoli was also undercooked and mostly inedible but I chose not to say anything. However, the sea bass was pleasant enough and didn’t suffer much from being slightly overcooked. The rosé was passable. There was a muddle with the bill as we were charged for each individual dish and not as the offer. Obviously, this was rectified but with the excuse ‘it’s my first evening here’!! Probably not the best excuse to make in any scenario.

We brought our daughter here for her 10th birthday with friends and her sister. We like Prezzo as they have a great value kids menu and something for the rest of us all to eat. It's a nice environment in the restaurant. The girls enjoyed their experience which is the main thing, however the service was very slow throughout. We had been in the restaurant for over half an hour before anyone came to take a drink order. We had to always call someone over to the table. There seemed to be only two people serving, one of whom was the Maitre D. The other server seemed to be training a third person. The food was fine. I ordered a puy lentil salad and paid £3 extra to add goats cheese but should not have bothered as the cheese that was added was extremely minimal. However the salad itself was tasty. My daughter chose a calzone which had almost no filling in it and was therefore pretty dry. In the end we were in the restaurant for over two hours because of the extremely slow service. The food was generally good and the children enjoyed themselves. We would come again but hope they can sort out their staffing issues. My older daughter came with friends to eat the previous Sunday and was asked to return in half an hour because the manager had not come in and another staff member had called in sick so the manager from Egham had come over and was managing with one other person. When my daughter and her friends returned they were again asked to come back in 20 minutes because they were struggling to serve people because of low staffing. I felt this was unfair and that adult diners would not have been treated in the same way. When my partner came to the restaurant the girls were seated without a problem.
