Booked for 7.15pm and wanted the set 3 course menu but was told this stopped at 7pm but nowhere is this made clear on your website. Main course was overcooked (pork belly) but couldn't be bothered to mention this as place was very busy and no staff to do table check. Wanted a dessert of cheese and biscuits as blood sugar levels need to be controlled and no sugar sweet desserts can be ordered by me... However just sugar laden desserts were available. I only had one course because of this limited menu. The restaurant was far too hot and most uncomfortable...the front doors were left open and cigarette smoke was blowing back into us as we sat dear the door - is there no air-con in there? Two of our party had the sharing carbonara which the menu says is suitable for up to 4 persons depending on hunger..in effect these sharing dishes l are barely suitable for 2 people who were still hungry after consuming this meal. The service charge of approx £12 was added automatically without being asked about. Not a good birthday meal experience and we will be trying Wild Wood or Tarro Lounge or other alternative places nearby in future.

Restaurant was very busy but we were seated at our booked time. We ordered garlic bread for staters and then our mains. No garlic bread arrived. Our mains arrived. Side order of chips were cold. We enquired about our starter? Garlic bread arrived and was very small. Manageress stated it would be deducted from the bill. Finished dinner asked for bill. Garlic bread had not been deducted. Gave up and left!

Food was nice. Service was so slow - took 15 minutes to take a drinks order, 45 minutes to take a meal order.

My friend ordered the steak salad - VERY lacking in steak. How VERY disappointing.

REALLY SLOW service, took nearly half an hour for the waitress to take our drinks and food order. Food was not as it said on the menu. The steak salad was basically a bowl of leaves and 4 thin strips of beef and it was covered in in cheese and my friend hates cheese (the menu didnt say this). The waitress completely got my friends gluten free meal wrong and ended up bringing her out pasta!!!!! Pasta??? She's Gluten free!!!!
Again had to wait about half an hour to get dirty plates taken away and then still had to ask for our pre ordered puddings. And to top it all off at the end when we went to pay there was only 6 tables left and we had to shout out for the card machine because there was no waitress to speak too. We could have easily walked out and had a free meal! The place was freezing as well it was like being in the Antarctic.
I went to the Leicester restaurant in March and it was so much nicer and the service was 10 times better. I shall not being going to the Hinckley restaurant again!!! Such a disappointment.
