Ponte Vecchio is a rustic Italian restaurant in Bath serving up gourmet, homemade cuisine. Standing tall over 2 levels with a sun-drenched al fresco dining terrace, Ponte Vecchio offers an authentic European ambience.

The Ponte Vecchio menu incorporates only the finest ingredients in sumptuous dishes like its crisp orecchiette pasta sautéed with broccoli, bacon and chilli, and a juicy lamb rump with warm caponata. Delicate steamed fresh mussels in a light white wine, garlic and tomato sauce can be followed by a signature stone-cooked pizza, fired in the restaurant’s eye-catching exposed pizza oven.

All dishes at the Ponte Vecchio restaurant are cooked in plain view of diners in an open kitchen. Guest can pick a spot on the al fresco terrace, where a coffee semifreddo or a panna cotta with the coulis of the day can be enjoyed whilst watching the bustling Bath community whiz past.

Ponte Vecchio is in the heart of historic Bath, occupying a tranquil spot by the River Avon on Spring Gardens Road.

Went to the restaurant a year ago before it changed its name (also ownership?) and it was fab. However, I would not recommend it anymore now: service was slow and confused and at times rude, the food was at best mediocre and I would not be surprised if my dish (gnocchi with a tomato and basil sauce) came straight out of a tin. Very disappointing!

The staff was really friendly and service was really fast (even a bit too fast maybe as we were not in a hurry). Food was good : we had chicken & mozzarella and chicken in tomato sauces with olives, quite tasty. The restaurant is quite hard to find when you're a tourist but overall we were satisfied with the restaurant.
